well, if it's a life or death situation, then yes.

Yes. You have to look to the greater good. If it saves their lives or lives in general I would think. (Unless it is stopping someone guilty from being on death row for example.) You can always explain the truth and the situation to them later, you couldn't if they were dead.

Yes I would do the same thing if the outcome was beneficial to all.

Yes I think so, especially if they are holding a gun to their head or someone elses getting ready to kill them then yes I would lie & tell them anything I thought could bring a positive outcome & stop them from hurting someone else.

Although it's dicey I would think it's excusable.

I'd rather not lie. There must be another way to get the person motivated there is never just one way. I think a way based on a lie isn't a good foundation to make for anyone's life.
