My brother and I got bit the same night, on the same arm, whilst on a camping trip. Thankfully it was the last night, and I was home within 24 hours. I kept mine clean, soaked my whole elbow in scalding hot water three times a day, and kept it bandaged with antibiotics at night. My brother ignored his. He thought it looked "cool" Mine healed in a week, and didn't leave a scar. My brother got MRCA (A staph infection) and had to have a 3" circle cut out of his arm. I think it was a banana spider.
