Yes. I think this would seem odd to the co-worker and that impression would be passed on when they informed your love interest that you asked about it. I think it would be much more appropriate to simply ask if he/she is working today... perhaps they will volunteer what they know about the schedule for the next day or two. If not, let it go.

As long as you aren't wearing a trench-coat, masturbating in public, or hanging around the place all hours of the day, I don't think it would be creepy or stalkerish to ask about the person you like. I have done this myself, actually. However, I did know the name of the person I was interested in, so it didn't seem awkward when I asked: "Hey, when is Brodie working this week?", as opposed to: "Hey, when is that cute girl with the brown hair working again?" You know what I mean? Just be friendly, don't give off an air of someone who is nervous or up to something "shady", and they should be fine with it. Or, you could just ask him/her yourself ;)

I wouldn't ask for their schedule, but you could ask the next time they worked. It would be less creepy than wanting to know every day they were working and when.

Don't beat around the bush. If you know the co worker and you know the co worker knows the person you are attracted to..then just ask the person you know to introduce you. Simple enough?
