  • When my first son was born he was colic, the only thing that would make him shut up is to take him for a walk to his mum's mothers grave. He would scream scream scream but as soon as we got him there, he slept!
  • I was given a small tree plant when my grandmother died. I call it the Nanaw Tree and it's planted right infront of my house. Whenever me and my dad pull up in our drive way and talk about the tree or my Nanaw, the glass door swings open.
  • yes, I was working on my truck,I was underneith it changing the exhaust system, i heard my grandfathers voice say " get out" I instinctive rolled out from under the truck to see what the heck.. immediately after I was out the truck slid off the jack and fell to the ground. ( my grandfather died a few weeks before this) I was walking down a street in downtown Pittsburgh, I had my one of my sons my arms and was holding my other son' s hand, we were rushing to get someplace so kinda running, We came to a a small intersection at an alley-way, I didn t even pay attention to traffic since there was never any there, as I stepped out into the alley with my sons , a hand grabbed my shoulder and stopped me as a Taxi sped out of the ally-way, WOW, I was shocked and scared and thankful, I truned to thank who ever grabbed me, NO ONE WAS THERE .
  • Congratulations Auntie Chopsy! Someone who sounded like my Mother left a message on my Father's answering machine that said "I'm not in any pain" a couple of days after my Mother died.
  • my sister in laws oldest son walken in to the labor room with his nan while she was giveing birth it scared the c***p out of him and now he hates hospitals

  • Hey chick, good to hear from you again, and congrats honey on being an auntie!! wow, that is soooo weird, but let me tell you this... when i had my son 4 years ago, i was in a 4 bed ward on my own, it was after midnight and i was in bed with the baby at my side, the student nurse had been standing at the door chatting to me (the corridor lights outside were on) then she left... just after she left a man entered the room, walked over and looked into the babys crib then left. When i asked her later on who the doctor was (he had been wearing white) she told me no doctors had been in all evening, and there were no male staff at all. I found out 4 days later when i was discharged that my brother who lived in SA had died the day before my son was born, the family knew but didnt want to tell me to upset me as my son was born 5 weeks prem, so they waited for me to be disharged before telling me. Im convinced it was my brother and when i told my mum and hubby they all agreed with me... so ...who knows?? Anyway thought you were going to mums??
  • Many, many, many congratulations! I'm happy for you:-)
  • got a voice mail from my grandfather a week after we buried him. the message only said goodbye really softly through a bunch of static.
  • About six months after my grandma died, i was off school ill. The phone rang, and it was an elderly sounding lady (she didnt sound like my granny), who said that she had spoken to my mum, and wanted to see how i was feeling. I spoke to her for about five minutes. When I told my mum, she said she had had three phone calls where she picked up the phone but no-one was there
  • My mom died 10 years ago and my father re-married and moved out of the house that they shared for 35 years. My brother bought the house because he couldn't bear to see it go out of the family. I went upstairs which was my parents bedroom but is now my brother's bedroom. I sat on the bed just remembering what it was like growing up in that house and I felt someone sit on the bed next to me, but I knew that no one was there. Then when my son was 10 months old, I was laying on the couch & my son was quiet for like 10 seconds. Someone (I think my grandfather) said "Check the baby". i got up and the back door was open and he was in the pool. My 3 y/o niece left it open & he had JUST fallen in. A few seconds more and he would have been gone.
  • I already answered this question before but I forgot to tell you about the house my cousin lives in in Ohio. It's called the Spate House. We just recently visited her & my daughter who was about 2 at the time wouldn't stop crying. My son was giving her potato chips to eat & she started to choke. I could not get the chip out even though I could see it in there. i juist had to wait until it got a little soggy so it could slip down her throat. She stopped crying because the chip lodged there hurt so bad. I kept her outside for the rest of the day. If you Google Spate House, it will give you the spooky history of it. I am not lying about this. The house is not abandoned as it is mentioned in Haunted Ohio, & the cold spots in the house are very real. her basement was actually blocked off but it was used as a part of the Underground Railroad in the slave trading days, but it was used to intercept the slaves rather than keep them safe. the house is just CREEPY! it is located in Moscow Ohio & the main ghost in there is a red haired poodle. You HAVE to look it up.
  • Right after I received the call from the doctor at Duke telling me my mother had finally passed away (she did not want any of the family to sit around and watch her die so I was home), I walked into the bathroom to splash water on my face. When I looked into the mirror, the face looking back at me was my mother's. Within a few seconds, though, she was gone and I was looking at my own face. I do look a lot like my mother but the face in the mirror at that moment was absolutely not mine--it was hers. Oh and she communicates with me every so often with what she always said was her lucky number: 107. Sometimes I will be doing whatever the task at hand happens to be and all of a sudden I'll get the urge to look at the clock. The time will read 1:07. Once I was watching something on t.v. when a commercial featuring B.B. King came on. He was checking his blood sugar level and it was 107--I'd never seen the commercial before and had no interest in it but I looked up exactly as that number was displayed. I could list at least 15 other times that this particular number has shown up without any warning. If it weren't for the sheer number of times it has happened, I would chalk it up to coincidence. But I know my mother and she definitely has had a hand in every incident.
  • nothing likethat has happened to me but it happened to the people who live next door it was the 18 year old daughter and the 17 year old son me and the son were outside with a couple of our other firneds when his sister cam eout called just me and him over and was like tell how is it possible that granpas cell phone number just poped up on our caller id and when i picked it up i herd soft sobbing than it was like he hung up but in your case i think he was just calling to say he was with her and he was proud
  • It's nothing like any of these stories, but it's something that still "bothers" me to this day.... Years after my grandfather passed, who was a HUGE part of my childhood, I had a dream that he called me and the only words I clearly remember him saying are "No, I'm here" after I asked how he could be calling me because he was dead.
  • Yes, ummm. This could mean that he is lost in the "Other Side". You need to visit a medium and see if he comes to the meeting, that way they can tell him what to do.
  • Yes, My mom died when I was 15. I kept hearing her call my name for several months after the funeral. The last time I heard her, she had called on the telephone and asked me to look after a younger sister and brother. My husband and sister were there when I got the call. It seemed that she couldn't hear anything I said. I could hear her though, as clearly as anyone I've ever hear speak on the phone. My husband and sister were there when the phone rang. They watched the shock on my face. They heard the desperation in my voice as I tried to get her to hear me. All of this was forty years ago. This particular sister and brother have had lives riddled with problems. More so than my other brother and sisters.
  • I haven't heard of Phone calls from passed loved ones since way back in 70's and 80's, But I think they are possible. I have my fathers voice on tape in 1995 and he died in 1980. I also have a photo my sister took at my HS grad party in 1987 and you can see my father.... These things stories are everywhere. And I have had more than my fair share of experiences (not talking about the two mentioned above) Don't speak of it much because there are sooo many non believers.
  • just after my mum gave birth to my sister, she was holding her in the ward and she said she could smell her dead dads tobacco smoke when there was no smoking allowed in the hospital. she told me she knew it was her dad coming to see his new grandaughter. its a lovely story i think.
