If a restaurant has visible evidence of their food not being cooked from scratch (i.e. a bag of dinner rolls from the store sitting next to a microwave right on the counter), does it put you off?

For me, as long as I don't have to cook the food myself, it's a-okay with me. The restaurant I work at does the example, so I was just wondering if anybody is put off by it or thinks it's tacky.

as long as the food is fresh and tastes good, i don't really mind. i come to expect convenience these days

No way. Eating out is still better than having to cook!

If they are purporting to be homemade and like gramma's cooking, they better be making it on the premises. +This happened to a place near us. It used to be good food but it started to taste different. Then we found out that the older lady that used to cook had left and they had turned to convenience products. I went to use the restroom and passed the kitchen door and saw all sorts of boxes and trays of prepared foods. Never ate there again.
