My Disc also has had issues, same problem. But the ps2 has been able to play other games perfectly, did they put a limit on who many times it can be used perhaps?

Is the disk spinning? if not then its the motor. But if the disk is spinning then its the laser.Check the disk for mini holes. or a dirty disk if all the above doesn't work then Take Armax and send it back. Or go with a codebreaker. (ARMAX was not friendly with my memory card.) And killed My ps2 so be careful.
My Action Replay MAX is not working for my PS2, it is saying either disc read error or please insert disc. What can I do to fix this problem?

Are action replay codes permanent?
If I save my game after using one, will it still be there?
I used a health cheat on pokemon and I don't want to save if I know it's going to be permanent.
