Possibly, (ron paul for instance has a small chance) but for the most part no, the only way any politician gets into a head of state office is 99% of the way with special interest money, making him/her indebted to that special interest group, therefor making him/her unhonest.

Anything's possible, but I wouldn't lay odds on it. I thought 'honest' and 'politician' were very nearly mutually exclusive.
-
I find it would be easier to find a needle in a haystack than to find an honest politician.

How about Ghandi the bloke not the woman?

Unfortunately, the majority of your honest politicians are at the grass roots level and don't rise much higher than the state legislature. The more people you have to please, often the more vague you have to become in your positions and causes - in the alternative you have to have more support from special interest groups. It's a flaw in the system, not the people.
-
There is no such thing as an honest politician.
-
Of course. History is filled with honest polititions climbing to the top. Why are you so cynical? Just because Obama won is hardly a reason to taint everyone in the past.

Doubt it. If they don't twist their words or their opponents words, then they will show their TRUE record, which isn't appealing to all people.
