I can't belive I got called in to work the graveyard shift tonight! Does it bother you when you get called into work?

no, in fact i like it. my job is incredibly easy. well, the only job i could get "called in" for, anyway.

I do love my job, but usually i find i just get home, get my PJs on and sit down to eat when my mobile rings and its one of my old ladies, who has fallen, or dropped the remote for the telly and cant switch the telly off... so on with the clothes and away i go again. Hell its all part of the job and i wouldnt like to think anyone was suffering because they were too afraid to call me in case they are disturbing me!

Yes, it's very annoying. But where I work, we have just enough people to cover each shift and that's it. If someone has to call out, it screws everything up.

No- I am fortunate enough to live only a fiew minutes and miles from work and when the boss calls the one thing I say is "I would like to begin my paid time when i leave my house". he knows better and allways says yes I he really needs my help. he knows the job will get done when i get there.

Yes. I usually have my days planned so if the boss calls me, I don't like to change my plans to cover for someone else.

When I worked, I didn't like it but it happened frequently. I didn't exactly live close and I'd usually get called in at some totally unreasonable hour. Of course I knew when I took the job that would be the case, so I couldn't really complain.
