We should just bomb them.

No, the choice to use or not use Chinese imports should remain with us. I do not like government deciding things for me. I can use my own judgment.
-
No. Just impose stricter IMPORT rules, regulations, and laws, and step up inspections and enforcement, THEN refuse to sell them anything at all, from food to raw materials, untill they improve their manufacturing standards to meet our new laws, regulations, and import rules.
-
I think we should at least start imposing stricter regulations on junk coming in from CHina, and set up a fair trade agreement instead of a US get screwed agreement that is going to eventually come back to bite us all in the butt.
-
No that would more than likely be a huuuuge mistake, I would suggest imposing sanctions and inspections..the ban on products from china would probably be starting a fire that will be really hard to fight :)

We should learn to pay more ,and therefore get better products.Companies like specifically Walmart are directly to blame, for they demand that the products they buy are so cheap that the suppliers make no profit themselves. And we that shop at these stores contribute to the problem.Higher prices create higher quality and if we demand cheap products through stores ,specifically Walmart ,we pay the price through recalls.China is only supplying us with what we want, low prices, therefore low quality. We can't have good quality for low prices.

No - that's throwing out the baby with the bathwater. We are very dependent economically on Asian imports of everything from clothing to home appliances to furniture to factory tools +. We've (US) given China our Most Favored Nation status and much of our diplomatic edge with China is a result of these trade negotiations. Other less sweeping measures can be made to shift some of China's practices that are less invasive. China has a vested interest in mending their ways too.

I can't trust the quality of their manufactured good either. I just have had too many bad stories about shoddily made products made there. The food? Don't even get me started. They have not proven to the outside world that they are to be trusted such as the many problems such as lead. I can't think of one item made there that I own which is of even decent quality. Everything seems to break easier and fall apart sooner. I just bought flip flops 3 weeks ago and they're starting to fall apart already. Guess where they were made. Countries won't need to boycott Chinese made goods, the consumers will do it for them.

YES,for the obvious health issues..and then because we need to bring the business/jobs back here.

Yeah, I'm sure they would appreciate that...
