After a foot injury, I am losing the nail on my big toe. Today, I showed my husband how the nail is coming loose, and he ran screaming and flailing like a girl through the house... How should I feel about his reaction?

That makes me cringe just thinking about it. My wife likes to clip her nails in bed and stack em into a nice neat little pile on our sheet.........THATS DISGUSTING!!!!!!!! and makes me want to scream.

If your hubby is also your podiatrist, then I'd be a little concerned. If not, then I think it means he loves you - and just happens to be wigged out by your toe. lol

Um, to tell you the truth, I think he may be a bit sarcastic and trying to tell you that it isn't a big deal. Of course for being a girl, I would be freaking out too because my big toenail was coming off. It's probably his way of joking around with you, but to be quite honest, it's kind of mean...

men can't handle anything remotely gross that deals with the human body. the exception are doctors, and these are men who have had to train themselves for many years to look past certain things. now, about your nail. i have had to have both my big toe nails removed in the past because of ingrown nails. you need to soak that foot in warm water a couple of times a day and let it air out other times. you don't want it to get infected or grow back in wrong.

Well, I would feel exasperated. I think it would also provoke my devilish side. If my boyfriend reacted that way, I would shriek "NANCY!!" while chasing him down and brandishing my franken-toe at him. Later, I would feel slightly guilty about my part in it...

Most men do not do well in such situations...I don't think you should take it personally. Moms are the ones who take care of the kids when the kids throw up, or get injured..especially when blood is involved. There may be some dads out there who do that as well, but I'm guessing there aren't too many of them. When you are ill you handle it in one way...when your guy is ill, he handles it another. That's why moms are the nurturers and dads are the hunters! :)

i cant stand that either - but i can look at my own blood, others blood, i can remove stuff from your eye, i can assist during dental surgery, i can clean wounds, etc - but i cant stand a toenail hanging half off - and i dont like snakes
