Yes, I lock my doors and I also have a shotgun for me and my wife uses a pistol, we will not allow those outside to invade. You may not be aware but home invasions are common to every part of this wonderful country and if it hasn't happened on your block yet, it's purely a matter of time. Only the naive leave their doors unlocked, but worse than that are the unarmed. That is simply foolishness.

Normally yes, but we tend to leave the back door unlocked. It was locked up nicely last night however. There were two escaped murderers in my neighborhood yesterday! Once has been captured, the other is bleeding profusely and probably in the river.

Yes I lock my doors at night and while I'm gone. Not typically when I'm home. I do have my windows open, but my cats keep an eye on those and my dogs bark at every noise outside. Worst case, they take one first for the team while we try to escape through the back or front whichever is opposite the home invasion.

Yes. We do. But do you know that at the town called "Shani Shinganapur" near Aurangabad in India - they do not lock doors or windows. Infact, the houses, offices, schools shops over there do not have doors at all.

We don't for the usual reasons. We do because of bears. All our knobs are levers and we have visiting bears who like to come and peek into the windows and glass doors. They could easily just put their feet up and open our doors. THAT would not be a pretty scene.

I do all the time. Many of my neighbors don't because our town is considered a 'safe town'. But since I live in Connecticut and the murder of the Petit family a couple of weeks ago, many people are locking their doors now.
