Probably not as much as you would save by just keeping the frig you've got & not spend the money on replacing it for a new one. I don't really think the energy effecient appliances have saved that much. I have a new washer & dryer & I don't see any difference in my water or electric bill since I've bought them.

10 years isn't quite old enough to get back the savings from energy usage. I was told it's closer to 12-15 years.

the only thing that i could think of would be the space, the new refrigerator wouldnt take up as much space as the old models would

I'll second liz's comment, especially if you must finance the purchase, you'll be losing money.

Stick with the one you have now. A new 'fridge will not last anywhere near as long as 10 years and you'll have to replace it within 5 or so. If it ain't broke, don't fix it!
