  • If you're going to layer color like that, I would have a stylist do it. When you put that many chemicals in it, you really want to make sure that you're using the gentlest stuff possible, and that's what they'll have.
  • If you use a bleach like manic panic, you can wait 3-5 days and then add the color. Make sure to get a good conditioner and use that on the bleached hair.
  • If you can, it's best to wait at least 2wks? That's about the average time most home colours recommend ;-)
  • It depends if you are using vegetable dyes or permanent dyes - if permanent best reading what the actual box/packets say as most recommend at least a week between bleaching and colouring as these are both chemical treatments on your hair and can cause damage. If you are dyeing your hair permanent black then many decent brands would cover over any shade so no need to bleach first anyway (although best leaving the parts to go pink un-dyed if you can as black is sometimes horrid to get out of hair and often needs a few bleachings). If you are using vegetable dyes then you can apply these as soon as you have fully rinsed the bleach out of your hair and dried it - dont use conditioner after bleaching if doing this as conditioner can act as a barrier and stop the dye from sticking to the hair.
