A warning about paxil. Some people feel fine when taking paxil. However for me Paxil made me a total void of space. I wasn't depressed...however I had no other emotions either. I didn't love, I didn't cry, I didn't think...I just really sat here doing nothing at all. Just staring off into space. I felt like there was seriously something wrong with me. I became very depressed again because I couldn't get out of this feeling of being in a void. I ended up hanging myself but luckly was found by my roommate. I tell you this not to scare you...but as a warning...if you start to feel like you have no feelings on this medication please tell your dr. right away. As for the sex drive...I had ZERO sex drive...and when I would have sex it was impossible to get off which made things very frustrating and made me want to have sex even less. The only meds that I have found to not interfer with my sex drive is lexapro. It is a form of celexa...though I had no sex drive with celexa. About the only thing I found that you can do to improve the sex drive is to drink. But remember you don't need many drinks to get really drunk while taking your meds. Plus too much drinking with cause more depression...so I guess it's a trade off... Anyway hope this helps!!

I have experienced a lower sex drive in a way. As a male I am able to get erect but find it very difficult to reach orgasm. I have yet to find anything to improve this.

I took Biovigora to improve my sex drive after taking paxil

I was on Effexor and my sex drive pretty much disappeared. After finally getting off that drug, I started with Wellbutrin and it's been a god send. Sex drive shot way up, had more energy and even lost weight without changing any other habits. I highly recommend it.

I take cymbalta and I have no sex drive. But I also take zanax and morphine,(as I go to pain specialist) but the depression came from no being able to work since nervee damage during lung surgery. Then the anxiety came from being at home so much. Then the 10 other prescriptions from blood pressure on. It's all just a stupid cycle that you can't seem to get out of. And I have a wonderful husband whom we had a terrific love life until the stupid surgery which I regret every day of my life. Why he is still with me, I don't know. I still give it to him but I know it can't be much fun with no reaction from the other person.

I'm 24 I have been on Paxil since I was 13. I love it as its' worked so well for me. However It completely destroyed my libido, desire, erection and orgasm capability. Its been so long I forgot what a normal libido is supposed to feel like. However I prefer that to the alternative of horrible depression and anxiety. I have heard Wellbutrin helps to rebalance the serotonin/dopamine imbalance caused by too much of the serotonin effect caused by the SSRI. But I can't try it because of its' side effects so I try not to think about a lack of libido.
