I have an immense love of food as well. Stop trying to reduce the amounts you are eating, and focus more on making healthier choices. That is what keeps me from gaining weight...(although I must admit I am a sucker for junk food). Also, try to exercise regularly...it's tough to start, but once you get in the habit, you will feel a WHOLE lot better.

I have the same problem. It's so difficult. I never had the problem when I was younger, I could take it or leave it. Now it seems to be a real addiction.

Here's a hint that might cut down your appetite. Drink 1 or 2 pints of water before eating. This will make you think you are full even if you eat less. Just drinking water without eating is not good because the feeling of fullness will only last a short while. Take the stairs instead of elevator or escalator when possible. If you're going on a errand that is 15 minutes or less walking, leave the car and walk. Riding a bike will also be good exercise and you also get a feeling of speed without the fatigue of running.

I have the same problem. The key is to exercise more and eat less. Only eat half or at least a 3rd of what you normally eat. And if you find yourself still hungry drink a glass of water or eat a piece of fruit or raw vegetable. Also buy those 100 calorie snacks to snack on when you want to have a snack.

Excersize curbs you appetite. It SEEMS like it would make you hungrier, but it doesn't. Drink lots of water, NOT sodas! You will gradually eat less and less the more you "move it"! Good Luck to you!

My problem is that I feel deprived when I can't eat all those awesome cream sauces and stuff like that! Drinking lots of water is very important (I use those Crystal Light packs) and get in some exercise. I can trick myself into thinking I had something awesome by eating something like a Yoplait Chocolate yogurt for dessert. If you look, you can find lots of "replacements" for your normal food. Also, a great cookbook to try is the American Heart Association Low Salt Cookbook, great low salt/fat/calorie recipes in there that taste awesome, lots of comfort food. Also Healthy Heart One Dish Meals and Great Recipes for Good Health by Reader's Digest. You can find all of these really cheap on Half.com or in used bookstores! And don't forget to write down what you eat! You'd be surprised! You can also use fitday.com. It's a free website where you can track your calories and fat and such.
