  • You more than likely only have an audio CD burner installed. If that's the case you may have to purchase a new drive to burn DVDs. I'm no computer pro and this is my best suggestion. Try the popular web shopping sites for more detail or go to your Best Buy or Circuit City for more assistance. So if you are sure you have a DVD drive, then maybe there is soft ware that needs to be installed or reinstalled.

  • just install a new version of Nero 7.3 in ur pc but make sure dat u have a Dvd writter.............
  • Go to Start-My Computer. Right click on your DVD drive icon.Click on properties then Recording and UNCHECK the box that says "enable CD Recording in this drive.Next time you need to burn music you will need to go back and check it.
  • You have no dvd drive! They have several external dvd drives on the market; check them out. Most are plug-and-play,just plug them into your computers usb port(maybe down-load a disk),and there you go!
  • if your unsure what is on your PC, go to yahoo or google and type in Belarc and download the free program and run it, small and free, it will tell you all hardware on PC as well as software install etc right down to your windows Keys. print and save for future use. then run program ever so often just to see what is going on in your Pc
  • Windows Media Player won't recognize my DVD drive as a writer/burner. I use CD XP Burner available free from: http://cdburnerxp.se/ Works like a charm.
