Rise : NURSES , FULL STOP !! PAY CUT : FAT CAT, BIG WHITE CHIEFS who give themselves extortionate pay rises whilst the people earning them the money live on the breadline. Sorry bout the capitals but it's something I feel strongly about.

I think teachers deserve a pay increase. Now that I work at a school I see how hard they work, how truly dedicated they are and how much crap they have to put up with sometimes. Celebrities deserve a pay cut - $20 mill for a movie? Come on now, that's just ridiculous.

TEACHERS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! without them society wouldn't be the same. And it would probably motivate them more and therefore do a better job. Its a win win, better educated children leads to a better society. Here in CA our public schools are soooooo bad, and I'm talking about the LA district. Politicians should get a cut.

Not to knock teachers, but in 2001-2002, the average teacher's salary was $44,367. The lowest was over $31,000, and that was five years ago. (http://www.govspot.com/lists/teachersalaries.htm) Anyone who works physically hard doing labor most of us don't want to -- rpad pavers, roofers, agriculture labor -- all deserve more money. Wildly paid CEO's, celebrities and professional sports players could all get by with a few million less.

Hello all i posted this question and 100 percent agree with your teacher pay raises......but if what that person quoted was correct and teachers make 44,000 a year i would like to offer you this tidbit. I have been in the Army 5 years and have been promoted up the chain and am an injured e-5 and i make 35,000 a year and that is with BAH which is an extra living expense. The enlisted military makes table scraps.And about all the extra we make in Iraq it only seems a lot because you are forced to save it cause you cant spend it. Give the military a raise and our entertainment( sports, actors, singers) a pay cut)

raise?Nurses, medical assistants and phlebotomists. hospitals and clinics COULD NOT function without these proffesions and yet many of the people doing them are grossly underpaid. a pay cut? i have known alot of people in the computer industry making ridiculous amounts of money to screw off all day.
