I want to travel/ work/live across the usa in something like a small camper van or traveling trailer. If its small where can I park it to live for a couple months. Does it have to be at a trailer park or can it be somewhere else?

In a lot of areas of the US, Wal-Mart parking lots are unofficial impromptu campgrounds. http://walmartingacrossamerica.com/ You don't get electrical/water hookups for your vehicle, nor access to showers or other amenities, but you can park there in relative safety. You can also just park on the street if you're discreet about it. Just choose a new location each night and you probably will not get hassled. Good luck with your trip.
