Lol! yep just checked profiles and in a few months some people have earn't half their points for moderating!!!! there i was being naive and thinking they had earn't them!

It sure is! Many of our top ABers have more mod points than question and answer points combined. (Or at least more than one of them) This has skyrocketed sinc ethe recatagorize me! challenge of last week.

Last week Answerbag introduced a category called re-categorize me and several members went for it big time. Have a look at the blog.

Yes it is Bruce Lee. Yes, I'm the one that got 16,000 in one week and if you care to look at the last week's total (and do be sure to look at other member's totals too) you'll see it was a very different, very special one time week. And I'm here most every day asking and answering questions, too. Im not like the general who doesn't have a visible presence on AB. But I think that good moderation makes this a better site. We helped get rid of the THis or That and Have you ever categories which is a very useful thing. Those questions now are in a category that makes more sense. If someone wants to find an answer, they can find them in that category. Someone could go to Cruises and find questions about those. Someone can look in the Johnny Depp category and find out all sorts of things about him. I think that's a good thing. If you don't like moderating, then don't do it. If you don't care where things are, then don't put things in their right place and don't flagg things. But if I'm looking through Outside the Bag and see a What is this Pill question, I'm going to flag it so it goes with all the others and keeps Outside the Bag 'cleaner'. I don't think it's wrong because I don't really care about points at all, galeanda your doing a bloody good job keeping this site in order, but personally I'm going to get my level with no mod points at all, seeing as so many people think they're easy... but It doesn't bother me that other people do it... I think those whinging are a bit too bothered about the points system and if the likes of galeanda stopped modding, we'd soon notice the clutter x
