What kind of oil and filter should I use in my 2006 Miata? It's my first oil change...

    genuine Mazda oil filter or Mobil oil filter is by far favored by most reviews I read even better than K&N

    the engine oil and grade is right in the engine oil cap otherwise it is recommended to use 5-20w viscosity for fuel economy, I have been using Mobil 1 full synthetic just because oil change interval is between 5000-7500 miles

    You could just take it somewhere & have it done for you.
    But if yu isist on doing it yourself, take a look at what filter is already there & get one of those... look on the inside of the door to see if the typwe of oil is written there - or just call the dealership & ask em
