  • My first thought was "the poor person" :-( I hope they grow to know how wrong they are, because not to know love is a very sad thing for anyone.
  • After 3 failed marriages, several bad relationships, and no man for me insight right now, I'm inclined to agree!
  • Love just hasn't "hit" them yet.
  • ask your self. would you know what love was, if it was never taught to you?
  • I also don't believe love is real...it's just chemicals in your brain...no physical connection to another person, at least not a lasting one.
  • It sounds like he was hurt very, very badly somewhere along the way and he's too scared to open himself up. I don't believe that love can exist without a trusting and open heart. It makes me sad.
  • Of course love exists. It not something that can be defined so some think that it doesn't. But unless you have experienced it yourself, then you can't truly believe in it. It's a very sad thing that he settled for something that isn't love and lies to himself everyday.
  • I think he is most likely emotionally damaged or misunderstanding or misreading what love actually is - perhaps both. You state he is educated - perhaps he should study some chemistry. Love has a chemical as well as an emotional base. Anything that involves a chemical reaction is very real on a molecular level. Ergo, love exists. I suppose one might argue (from a religious standpoint) that the only *real* love is the perfect love which comes from God, and our version is only a pale immitation, but I think that's a bit of sophistry. Educated doesn't necessarily mean intelligent, and even if he is, his (assumed) trauma earlier in life may have skewed his attitude. As others have noted, it's all rather sad.
  • I don't believe in love is that such a big deal? I mean Maybe an attraction but that cause by chemicals in your brain probibly just to keep the human race going and existing but I don't really think theres is a love =/
