You always have some changes in your hand, namely your mind. You could study something different. Example, say the change was your job and you have some applications you are waiting on you could read up on articles or books to help with a new position. Maybe you have been wanting to learn how to replace a sink or make a coffee table.. You could change your attitude. Things may be monotonous but challenge yourself to take at least 15 minutes a day to appreciate the good things in it. Try yoga or meditation, etc. You could change your relationships around you. Is there someone you have been wanting to get to know better? Has it been too long since you wrote to your Aunt Betty? Don't think yourself powerless to do things.
