What annoys me the most about the way people comment on AB questions/answers is that they misread what you say and say something totally stupid or insulting. What annoys you the most about AB comments?

THE LACK OF THEM. Especialy when you get a not useful rating and the downrater dosen t state why they think your wrong or why they don t agree. any other comment I dont mind since you can comment back or respond and explain yourself or your reasoning

The ease with which we are so ready to go on the attack about anything/everything. That is what annoys me the most about some of the AB members. We judge, set up parameters, make our own rules and when our "rules" aren't followed, or someone strays beyond the parameters, we're ready to jump and pound and lecture. Yes, that's what bugs me the most.

Guilty as charged. I know I have done it. For a brief second I think I know more than the person answering the question, its a very grave mistake.I apologize to Eli specifically and to others if I for a brief second thought I was Oz the all knowing wizard.

I always try to keep in mind that i don't really KNOW anybody here. Body language, tone of voice, facial expressions, all this makes up so much more to speech than mere words. I really try to take that into account before flying off the handle at someone. The biggest annoyances are the obvious questions that are ment to get a negitave response, like last night.

I understand misunderstandings here but down right insults shouldn't be tolerated.

The fact that we can't unsubscribe to those comment threads in which we have zero interest. You make one comment, like, "Nice answer" and then every time anyone else makes a comment in the thread, your orange light goes on and you get another notice. People use comment threads as chat rooms, which is fine, but I wish they'd remember that their "chatting" affects everyone who's ever been a part of the thread. PLEASE NOTE: This Q and A is now obsolete, since AB came up with the Unsubscribe button in the fall of 2007.

my favorite is when i swear that there is absolutely NO way to misread or interpret, but somehow someone still does. like, if i say, my favorite color is red, and they get offended. oh, my bad. yea right!
