What is the highest utility bill that you have paid? How much was it and who was it for?

• I just got my last bill. $397!!! I almost cried. It's been over $350 for the last 4 months because Gov. Charlie Crist thinks that we should be relying more upon solar power than electric, but the cost of it is coming out of our pocket. Living in FL isn't worth it anymore.

• Geez. I was crying about my $397 bill. My house is about 3600 sq ft, 2 stories with an a/c unit on both floors & a pool. I am about to jump out of a window.

• I have five kids that don't know how to turn a light switch off.

• Geez. We have 5 kids too. If they aren't on the computer, they are leaving hte TV on while they are in the pool or they just let the computer stay on all night. I was thinking that maybe I should divide the bill by 4 (I can't make the 3 y/o pay) & let them take their hard earned money & just throw it the electric company like i do every month. :) Or I can tell them if they can't figure out they need to most electricity or the phone & internet, then handle their business because just between those 3 bills, it's over $600. I'll let you know how it goes.

• I WISH it was that small. I had an electric bill last month for $358 and I almost had a heart attack until I saw this month's for $396. I must kill the children.

• My 25 y.o. step daughter is on my space 24/7 and when she is, she leaves the TV and lights on in her room. Then my 16 y.o. is always on his computer. The both of them do about 4 loads of laundry a day. Plus the added bonus of my son being out of school for the summer. My house is a 2 story 3600 sq ft and we have 2 A/C units and the top floor stays @ 82 degrees because we live in FL. They put the a/c down to 76 to try to cool it down so it runs ALL DAY LONG! Then they leave the bottom a/c on 76 when no one is down there because they are always upstairs on the computer. The pool pump doesn't help either.
