It might depend on how much sugar or sweetness you put into the muffins. If the fruit is sweet then it will help to make the muffins taste sweet. Can I have the recipe please?

Mmmm, they sound delicious. It depends on the natural sugar in the fruit. Usually if I use fresh fruit in a baking recipe, I taste it first to see if it needs to be sweetened, I usually add some sugar, but my preference is not to have them overly sweet so that the natural flavor of the fruit comes through.

Usually streusel type muffins don't have all that much sugar IN the batter because of the extra sugar in the topping. And some of the sweetness depends on the fruit. If you want it just a bit sweeter, what you can do next time is add a few tablespoons of sugar right to your fruit and give them a toss. You can also add some of your flour to the fruit when you toss the sugar so that your fruit won't sink to the bottom or get the 'blue' color all through your muffins. THe flour and sugar help the blue to stay in your fruit.
