  • yeah...I answered this...and it was essentially babbling idiocy. So this is the edited version. Good question, Jodie! No...I don't have an answer, but it's a good question, nonetheless.
  • I am sure they don't believe people react with positivity to that message - but they sure can't write "ya twit! that one's been asked already - sure our search functions aren't that great - but sheesh!". The poor buggers have to be a little diplomatic :)
  • Probably. It is far more polite than "It would be greatly appreciated if you'd pull your head out and check for duplicates before asking another question."
  • The first few times I saw that , I was excited until I opened my e-mail , now I don't open them anymore + 5
  • They must! I just received a whole slew of these emails. I'm thinking, "We're sorry. Someone has already asked this question:( Thanks for trying, though." is a little more in tune with the average Answerbagger's psyche.
  • Yup...isn't that great? I've had just a few that were dupes. Today after finally getting emails again, I got one of those "good news" emails. Well, it was from one last month, so...I already knew about it. The first time I got one and then opened it, I thought...are they being sarcastic? LOL!
