How is it possible that a "new" question with no answers yet already has 7 points!?!? What am I missing here?

i also asked that question in the past, anyone can rate a question without answering it, if you think a question is good, then rate it!

People like the question but are too lazy to answer it. Or don't know the answer.

Maybe no one can answer it, but thought it deserved some points. I give unanswered questions points all the time, then I click on "Watch this question" to find out when someone answers.

I guess some people just reward people for writing a sentence.

Happens a lot. Take a look at the list of unanswered questions and you'll a bunch. Some people will give points to a question when a friend asks, some are too shy to answer, some may have wanted to ask the same question so they gave the question points.
