  • It could be that the watch is being over-wound and as such the main spring is exerting more force than it should for a short time and forcing the mechanism to move faster. If it's a self-winding watch they are supposed to have a mechanism to stop this, but it really depends on when was the last time you had it serviced or if it didn't have this in its design. These kinds of high precision watches really need services at least once every five years. My guess would be that if your other watches are not speeding up but one is to have it checked by a certified watch maker as over winding can lead to long term parts damage if this is what is occuring or if it's going out due to something else.
  • I have the same problem with Submariner 16610 M Model. It speeds up more than 40 seconds weekly. Is this OK with the Sub?
