I think the best way to tell is to follow the old say, "Don't judge a person by how he treats his betters or those equal to him, but how he treats those lower than himself"

I have a good heart. I know this because, I think about other peoples feelings instead of just my own, I try to sacrifice,comfort and advise those around me who need it and take out time to care for those in need. I also don't deceive,cheat or create an easier situation for me, that is going to be painful for someone else. I try not to live with karma and I do what I would want others to do to me. You can tell by the ora they bring about when they enter a room and the genuwine sincere look in there eyes. Also by being a real and not fake person with a smile that doesnt quickly fade.

you can tell by the way they treat their friends family and enemies. if they are kind courteous and self-sacrificing even in the hardest times, chances are that they have a pure and good heart. sometimes you need a harsh circumstance to bring the good out in people though.
