Why do some guys act differently around their friends compared to when they are with their girlfriend?

Everyone has many aspects of their personality, some aspects may be feminine and others may be masculine. When a bloke is around his girlfriend maybe he uses the feminine aspects more often (whether consciously or not to be closer to his girlfriend) and when he is around his mates he might use the masculine aspects more (again whether consciously or not to seem more as one of the male group). Basically it's not necessarily intentional maybe just different areas of his persona are expressed at different times!

Well, for one thing, they probably don't want to have sex with their friends. In all seriousness, though, the dynamics of the two kinds of relationships are very different and there are different motivations. Around his guy friends, a guy generally wants to show off how macho he is. This can lead a guy to being somewhat competitive and even combative. With a girlfriend, though, a guy needs to build her trust. We women usually want to know that our boyfriends aren't going to hurt us physically or emotionally, and that they are committed to the relationship. While a guy still has so show that he's manly, he also has to balance that out by being sweet, charming, thoughtful, caring, etc.

Most guys act that way when they get around other guys thats just how they can be but if you don't like it you should just talk to him about it let him know how you feel and that you don't like how he is acting if you don't talk about it your gonna get build up with stress and its gonna get worse so just tell him stright up whats on your mind and ask him why he's acting so differnt :) ~GODBLESS~

when guys are with their girlfriend they are probobly more loving to be what you want. As of when they are with their friends they are more rough. if your man does this and you dont like it try to talk to him and explain that you would wrather him be himself

People change depending on who they are around. Often times without even thinking about it. For example, I act much differently around my Mom and my family then I do around my friends. And it's not like I'm censoring myself. It's just how it is.

maybe they relli just dont like u maybe u act the same way around him when u r with ur friends he mite me doing it cuz u do it to him just talk to him about r feelings u never know it could all work out if it dosent then u know tht u 2 were never ment to be together...

It's situational. They like to be well behaved for their missus, but still have a laugh with their friends.
