The circles I move in must be very different to yours. I don't know anybody who considers sex to be a taboo subject, neither do I know anybody with a love for death and violence.

The religious right is rarely either. ~~Friedrick Nietzsche.... Isn't it curious that the bible says one of the most important commandments it "thou shalt not kill".... and yet there have been so many people killed in the name of "god"? +4

What's even better than that Zandalee, is how in the following passages God and Moses are responsible for minor genocide : P (Someone will complain that the passage actually says 'thou shalt not murder', but murder is merely 'intentionally killing', so that only means that God doesn't hate people responsible for manslaughter... Genocide is included under 'murder', thus Moses and co. are responsible for breaking God's commandments (which were given directly to Moses by God himself apparently...))

I agree. I know.... it's all so contradicting... everything in the bible is that way. (with the inflection of apparently limited mental capacity: DON'T do this... oops! I did it! okay, you're forgiven, don't do it again okay, oops I did it again.... okay come to heaven! Anyone else who sins go to hell! YAY HELL......) Hell is going to be awfully crowded if the laws set forth in the bible were ever seriously meant to be followed. Especially the whole, "if you thought it, you already did it, it's a sin!" thing. There are going to be like maybe 100 people in heaven lol.

If you include the notion of a 'thought crime', as in the very act of thinking something evil is equivalent or partially equivalent to committing the act itself (this idea is spoken of by Jesus on several occasions) then yeah, you have a population of maybe 100 in Heaven, several billion in Hell... We were created broken and demanded to be fixed; it's absurd.
