Yep, Halloween started in Celtic Ireland more than 2,000 years ago. During the Celtic Samhain, people would disguise themselves, light bonfires to scare off ghosts and accept offerings from households. Some of the Halloween costumes as a child I wore was of Kimberly Ann Hart, the Pink Power Ranger and the Evil Queen who is the stepmother of Snow White. In my adulthood, I disguise myself as Catwoman, Wonder Woman and a female vampire. π§ββοΈ

I can't remember doing so for Halloween. For origins, I think the Irish use to use potatoes not pumpkins for the jack-o- lantern
