I used to listen to Pandora.com. You picked a band etc, and then it grabbed similar artists for you to listen to. I can't now because of copyright issues; they only allow people with American IP addresses access to the website.

Not an online station like Pandora, Yahoo Music or Last.fm, but I chose www.iacmusic.com It allows you to create a radio station and select music from it's library of over 20,000 songs by independent artists worldwide. The artists can set it up so that you can buy music from the site and, the beauty of it is that ALL of the money goes to the musicians! It's a great place to find new music.
