  • I don't get into the "Christmas spirit" that much. Christmas was brought about by the Roman Catholics because of the Druid winter solstice in an attempt to bring the pagans into the Catholic church. The Protesters (Protestants) brought the time along as a time of good cheer and worship. Actually, the time of Yeshua's birth can be traced through Zacariah and Elizabeth his wife. Not even Ceasar would call for a census in the dead of winter and the Shepards would not have been in the fields but had their sheep in corrals for protection from the winter to feed them. The sheep were all brought in by the end of October. Yeshua was born either the last week of September or the first week of October. Most likely October as this is a popular month of births. It really doesn't matter what month Yeshua was born, only that He was.
