  • Fava beans and a nice chianti. But mainly only if you are on MAOI's. The levadopa in the fava beans and tyramine in brewer's yeast in the wine interfere with your heart's ability to regulate your blood pressure. Eating those two foods, both extremely rich in tyramine can trigger a severe side effect of the MAOI that can lead to dangerously low blood pressure, causing fainting or even death.
