      Ever shop online?
  • No. That's never happened to me. Sometimes one or two items I WANT might be unavailable (especially during covid) but I have never had to go without an essential item that I actually NEED. And sometimes the sale items have been depleted, but never anything I truly need for my survival. Perhaps the problem is not the supply chain but your perception of the difference between NEED and WANT. Of course I could be wrong in your situation. What was it you NEEDED that you couldn't find?

  • After more thought, I have another answer for you. I've found that I can get the more specific groceries I prefer when shopping online. Such as no salt added canned vegetables (and tomatoes if you consider them a fruit). Shrimp flavored ramen noodles, pure sucralose and aspartame without the fillers and individual wrapping papers/waste, bulk turmeric and ground red pepper, sprouting seeds and wheat berries. Stuff like that is harder to get at an individual grocery store, but you can have it delivered to your door. I got all this thru WalMart online. And if you order more than $35 the shipping is free for products that come from WalMart. Some other vendors may try to charge shipping so keep an eye on that. If shipping shows charges you can remove the item that caused the shipping charges. Actually shopping online opens the rest of the world up to you. You don't have to limit yourself to what your local store can provide. And for anyone in a remote area... If they are smart they will already be ordering online.
