  • Pentecostal churches tend to "put on a show". That is: they use entertainment (literally and intentionally) to draw "the masses". Christians bored of their stuffy old religious services - but still desirous of being Christians - tend to gravitate to the Pentecostal-style "shows". *** This should not be viewed as "scandalous". After all: entertainment was used to "draw the masses" centuries ago. See things like Nativity Scenes, Holy Land Pilgrimages, Passion Plays and so-on. *** Me: Fundamentalist Christian, not Pentecostal flavor.
