Her full quote was: "$600 is a slap in the face to every American struggling due to the pandemic. You deserve better. I voted against the 5,593-page spending bill that gave billions to corporate interests, the military industrial complex & other countries, leaving crumbs for you who need help most." I agree that the bill was hijacked by pork-barrel interests and that $600 per American is not going to accomplish what she has been stumping about; however, I don't think any serious person thinks that the stimulus was supposed to ever be that, either. If she wants to fix the unemployment and social security issues with the nation's budget and provide better general welfare to the people, maybe she ought to write a bill that would do just that. I mean, after all, that is her job.
