Do you think AB moderators are moderating in order to keep the site neat or to earn a bunch of points?

Of course they do it for the points, but it takes alot of the detail work off the hands of the Admins, who have enough on their plates already, and I'd say the moderators do a pretty thorough job, thanks to the easy 5 points.

Yes it is cheap but boring points. Anyone that says they do it purely for the good of the site is IMO not telling the truth. I Moderate and I call it Garbage Picking. It is better to be honest about it than pretend you are doing it from the goodness of your heart. Some people that just moderate now and again as they go along are probably doing it for pure reasons.

I don't moderate much. I guess I don't get on at the times when all the really good stuff is there to moderate ;D. I get 98% of my points from questions and answers, with only 2% from moderating. (Disclaimer: This is only a rough estimate.)But when I do moderate, I enjoy the points...if they are given.
