Contact a urologist, your doctor will know one to recommend. the procedure is much less radical, and should involve relieving the tightness with out removing your foreskin. note circumcision has been identified as a valid means to slow hiv transmission, so they may try to push this too. do your home work, good luck

Reason enough? Yes and no. This is usually a matter of personal choice, many can and will argue against circumcision even in needed cases such as this. My advice is to consult with your doctor who will have a short list of options. One is "stretching" In short you spend a few hours every day wearing a device which stretches the foreskin: http://www.4-men.org/circumcision/foreskin-restoration.html OR you can do it manually: http://www.sexdictionary.info/tightforeskin_stretching.html However, stretching takes time, up to a year to get the results you may need. Stretching may not be an option, then there is the circumcision question. An alternative to a whole circumcision would be a partial circumcision. Again you need to discuss this with your doctor who can get a look see, discuss with you the exact nature of the problems and work from there.

You must see a urologist, but I would recommend 2nd and 3rd opinions if he/she suggests circumcision. There are ways of relieving the tightness of your foreskin that don't involve removal of such a large portion of skin, if any. Circumcision will also desensitize you to some degree, and who wants that? Like i said, if anyone suggests a full circumcision, PLEASE get more opinions before commiting to this surgery!

But why does it hurt when pulled back? Is the top of the skin stretched too much? Or the forskin clumped together to tightly? I'm just surprised, my understanding about skin is that it can be stretched to grow so it should have been a temporary problem.
-
yes, the top of the skin is stretched too much. when i have an erection, my foreskin stays covering the head of my penis. when i try to pull it back, it won't even go halfway without hurting. hopefully it is a temporary problem. i try to stretch the skin once in a while.

It's incredible how much obsession there is to pull it back while erect. Honestly, if you can masturbate with it without not hurting then just relax. Lots of guys are like this. But stretching techniques are a great option... just little massages not hard pulls. You don't want to do anything to damage your foreskin. It's a gift to you as a man, and so I suggest you don't let any doctor mutilate you based on their ignorance of foreskin.

It's good to stretch gently when you are in a hot shower or bath. Don't let a urologist convince you of surgery. It's not necessary if you just be patient and work at it massage/stretching etc... use oil.. and don't do it much except every time you are in or have come out of a hot bath or shower. There are a lot of natural tips on the internet to help you. And remember, don't be obsessed about exposing the glands. If you can masturbate already, then it's working!

I'm not circumcised, and in my early teens I was not able to retract the foreskin even when I didn't have an erection. You may need to retract the skin a little at a time and give it time to grow/stretch. I don't think tightness is a problem, just part of the normal growing process. There are supposed to be cremes that make it more comfortable to retract and stretch the skin. Whatever amount of time it takes to retract the foreskin slowly and allow it to grow, it will be worth it to take that time and not have a circumcision.

Im 25 and have the same problem. It's called Phimosis. Why is there such a fascination with pulling back the foreskin anyway?

There is a medical term called something up the lines of "tight foreskin". Not hard at all to google up and read up on. Its reason enough to get a circumcision, also, circumcisions aren't illegal so if you want one there is no one who can tell you you can't have it. It will take away your pain. Check out this page for example: http://www.tightforeskincure.com/

All you need to do is stretch the opening of your foreskin. It will take a few weeks, but you should be able to do it pretty easily. Whenever you have some privacy, get your fingers moist (or use something as lube) and push one or two into the opening of your foreskin. Stretch the opening firmly but carefully as wide as it will go. Keep doing this every day until your foreskin is wide enough for your glans to move through it comfortably. If you have problems stretching the skin, you can get a doctor to prescribe you a steroid cream called betamethasone. If your foreskin opening is too small to admit fingers for stretching, you can get a device called a glansie to help with the stretching. www.glansie.com. Even stubborn foreskins can be fixed in a couple months. You do not need to get circumcised. There can be infection, complications and you can have a bad outcome and lose too much skin and sensitivity. Beware anyone pushing circumcision on you! You are lucky to be intact. Just need to stretch the foreskin a bit so you can move the glans in and out without obstruction.
