This happens alot of the time, happened to my cat. If the kittens got taken away/given away at a to early age that might be bothering her, I rememeber this going on with my cat for a little while, then seemingly out of nowhere she was fine.

If she's nursing the kittens, then that is a definite cause of her hunger. Just like breastfeeding human mothers, breastfeeding animal mothers need more calories than normal in order to produce enough milk to feed their babies. It's also possible that her nipples are sore from nursing and that's what she's "talking" about all the time.
