there is Blocksite add on. the options page can be set to block images [ content ] and privacy to block cookies

Its called AD Block Plus, it is quite simple to use, once you have downloaded it, you just right click on anything you dont want to see, and add it to the list. It even works for AB avatars, if you are tired of seeing a certain face. http://adblockplus.org/en/
