Not a state law in Texas, and not a local ordinance either, but there is a limit on two dogs before fees are leveed on any additional dogs, and it's brand new. I do not expect to see any legislation regarding cats because they're just furry dog food anyway.

Honestly, I have no idea about any laws on the books concerning cats. I have four and that is where I draw the line.

No state law, but our city has an ordinance that you can't have more than six pets without a breeder license. Do you suppose the pet police might be going around counting goldfish? I don't see how this law can be enforced but we'll see.
