I have read this book. I find it facinating... but I have to state fair and honestly, that no, it does not encourage my belief any... since I am not a Christian.
-
Yes I have and it is very inspiring and has encouraged me a much. Fox's book is the only detailed account of the Inquisitions in print I do believe. Many Christians in America claim to be persecuted but frankly, we know nothing of the kind of persecution those the saints went through. Good question and thank you.

Yes I have read it and yes, it has encouraged my resolve and my faith. Jesus told His disciples to take up their cross daily and follow Him. The martyrs in Fox's book and the countless other martyrs world-wide paid with their lives by taking up their cross. Christians in America may have to do the same thing some time in the near future.

I have read some of it and wow it puts me to shame because of how these people suffered, and i wondered how i would act if i was put in that situation...it is very humbling

Their faith may be admirable, but their God is deplorable. If Jesus paid the price in full on the cross, what purpose did their deaths serve?

+6 Absoloutly.Just the amazing part is when men like John Huss while burning,he was still singing. There is something to that.Isaiah while being cut into by a wooden saw, still cursed himself as not worthy of God.Peter saying he wanted to be crucified up side down cause he isn't worthy to be crucified like his Lord. Also this of today. http://www.persecution.com
