  • How old is she? I mean if she's got her temps, it's VERY likely. Otherwise, at least were I live, it's a point system, after so many points (each violation is worth x amount of points) a liscense becomes suspended. You'd have to ask her how many points she has left then before that happens.
  • That depends on where you live. In my state, 20 miles over the speed limit is reckless driving, which warrants an automatic 6 month suspension. Check the laws for your state.
  • Not going to happen. It goes by points. If she takes defensive driving, she won't get a point taken off.
  • Typically, speeding tickets work on a point system (in the states). Her points could be very high, though. I'd be far more worried about your daughter killing herself or someone else. There's no excuse for driving like that.
  • I got my first ever Speeding Ticket about 3 months ago. In the UK it is an automatic fine and three points on your license. You need to accumulate twelve points to lose your license. Points can be awarded for other violations.
  • No suspension here. first, second and third time offenders are allowed to attend a four hour defensive driving class. once the class has been successfully completed, the citation should be dismissed. at least, this is the way it works in Tennessee. Introduce your daughter to the cruise control, on the automobile. cruise control has saved many drivers from a speeding citation, I recommend cruise control to every speeder i stop.
  • Highly unlikely since it is her first speeding ticket. She will have to go to court and pay the fees or in my state just go to the county court office and pay the fine. She will receive some points and it will go on her permanent driving record.
  • I had over 5 speeding tickets before my license was revoked. Most states have a point system, so you might want to look in to that.
  • In my state, 20 mph over the posted speed limit is considered reckless driving and a 6-point violation. No suspension, but another and it will be suspended.
