Well I know of this one female co-worker who go really upset when a another co-work(male) called her sweetheart over the phone. We work in newjersey and the male co-worker worked in our California department. So it wasnt like he was hitting on her or anything, it was they he talks but she wanted him to get fire for that. I think that was a bit to much.

No i dont mind at all as long as im being called something nice, i work with older people (over 65)and they all tend to call us 'girls' who care for them by pet names, its quite sweet really.

I think it depends on who says it. If it's some loser saying it in passing cause he's trying to hit on me then it's offensive. If I met some guy who was from the south as an example where it's common to call everyone that, then I don't mind.

Don't mind it at all as long as their not being sarcastic. Like: Honey, you don't have to show me your senior citizens card...I believe you.

I don't mind i think its a nice gesture not disrespectful.

I don't mind as long as it is said in a nice way and not in a creepy way by a slimeball
