I need help!!! Does anyone know a good method of killing English Ivy? I have A LOT of it. It is climbing the trees, all under our deck, walls, and flower gardens. Way too much to dig or pull up. Thanks.

You can use weed killer but you would have to use it every day for about a week....It will die but it is harder to remove because the stems become harder...try this..;)

What we did was to cut along the edges of the walls, etc, and pull down the dead pieces a couple of weeks later, and apply Borax on the ground every week for several months. Keep a close eye on the ground, and pull or apply Borax whenever it makes another appearance. Pulling every week is good exercise. I recommend it.

I have found pulling to be the most effective. My neighbor had some success using a weed whacker then spraying full strength Round-Up on the newly emerging young leaves.
