I know I have tasted breast milk because that is how my mother fed me. It was a very long time ago and sadly I do not remember the taste. I am sure it was good.
-
Yes, from the source. I'm trying to remember what it tasted like, but I can't, I don't know why... ; )
-
I have, from the source...to young to remember the taste then (thank God), then when my son was born I tasted it from the bottle, it was sweet and chalky tasting.
-
Yes, from the source. I thought it was quite tasty. A coworker recently came in with her newborn and was talking about nursing and I asked her if she has ever tasted it and she said no, and all the other ladies thought I was weird for having tasted it... particularly from the source. I asked a couple other 'new' fathers if they had tasted it and they seemed grossed out by it... why would they be grossed out by it? If they think its that disgusting why are they allowing their child to consume it? I think fresh breastmilk is good, but formula is bland.

I don't know for a fact but I'd assume it have to taste different. To me it just doesn't seem possible that all would taste the same. Hilarious question though!!!
-
I tried my own....I had this "thing" that I wouldn't feed my daughter anything that I wouldn't eat as well. It was really sweet, actually. Tasted like sugar water with something else...My husband tried it, he said the same thing. He was freaked out by it at first, but he got over it.
-
I haven't tasted it as an adult, no. Just as a baby. My wife tasted her own, but I just couldn't bring myself to do so.
-
No never

I was a baby from the source don't know what to think to young. Now your question about if each other produces a unique tastes to their breast milk that is an interesting concept. Would that effect the child, as in they would have preference to their biological mothers milk vs anyones else's?
-
I was really full one morning and was expressing in the shower and accidently shot myself right in the mouth, I had never had a desire to taste it, but don't think ill of those that do. It tasted like the chicken I had eaten the night before, only sweeter.
-
I had it when I was a baby but only for a little bit since I was born with a tooth and it hurt my mother to breast feed me. Since I do not have a child of my own (and would never ask another woman if I could taste hers) I do not think I will again. (Even if I had a child I would be...nervous of tasting it for some reason)

I tasted some a friend of mine had pumped and bottled (now I'm envisioning little bottlecaps). It was awful -- reminded me of the powdered milk my mom used to make us drink as a child. Thin and grossly sweet, but in a powdery way, not syrupy. I expected it to be creamier, but it seemed even thinner than the nonfat/skim milk I usually drink.

when i was a baby, yes. I'd love to try it again. =o)

When i was a Baby...Then their was a time when i was babysitting and the Mom had the milk and it was in a cup and i grabbed a glass of milk for the 7 year old. I decided what the heck i might as well have a sip...I got the cups mixed up and i drank Breast milk. I spit it out and almost threw up

Yea, when I was a bebe :)
-
my girlfreind told me too stop ; )
-
Yes. When I was breastfeeding I took a taste. Very sweet, really.
-
Many times. I've tasted my own and have often helped myself to my friends' fresh milk right from the source when they were lactating. My friend still has a breast pump and we use it as a toy--just to the point where it plumps up our nipples.
-
Sure--right from the source--my own and my girlfriend's! I don't think it is in any way repelling for adults to sample breast milk, right from the tap or from a bottle. Curiosity is normal. It was usually watery with slightly chalky texture and a little sweet.
-
Yes. I tasted my own because I was curious. It was sweet.
-
Just my own. My lactation consultant recommended that I become familiar with the taste of fresh milk, so that if I gave my son expressed milk that I had stored, I would be able to tell if it had turned sour. It is very sweet... like the milk in the bottom of a bowl of Frosted Flakes.

I would absolutely love to try breast milk preferably from the source. This is on my bucket list.
