  • Personally I love using humour, sarcasm, satire, etc. I certainly dont have a problem with it, Go for your life, I say! But some people do have a problem. *ahem* You know who you are.
  • Yes I do. Though not everyone has the same sense of humour and I have unintentionally upset people with my sarcasm. I've had to learn to temper my answers a little as I did make one enemy on here and it wasn't nice.
  • I don't have a problem with you putting humor into your answers. As a matter of fact, I think it is commendable. However, when I try to put humour in my answers, sometimes it makes my answers unclear even though I'm trying to answer the question. Do you have a similar problem, too?
  • I have no problem with humor in answers. I do find that humor in an answer makes it more interesting. I do try not to be funny to the point of distraction and sometimes I can't tell where the line is. Is this what you mean?
  • Not I. In fact I do the same thing.
  • 1) When I read a question, the first idea that I have is often a joke. And I could also think of a joke later. If I find a good joke or an answer with humor, I would like to tell it. And I know that many people here appreciate this. So I am making many submissions with humor. 2) I was many times downrated because of a joke in my submissions. As far as I could guess, partly because they told me, their reasons for downrating were: - it was such a poor joke that it deserved downrating (maybe also because they did not get the joke) - the subject of the question was too serious that one could make a joke about it - the joke did not answer the question, at least as they would have liked it to be answered 3) Because of these experiences, I am somewhat careful now with jokes in submissions: - I think a little more about it before posting (for instance is it really such a good joke, could it be hurting for some people) - I mention that it should be considered as a joke - I give another, this time serious, answer (inside the same submission) - if I make a joke, it is mostly an in extra answer in the same submission (extra paragraph). This results in the serious answer being itself joke free, so that when you read it, it is not masked. 4) As you can see, I have no problems, just solutions...
  • i don't have a problem with humurous mix of solutions but sometimes you must know when and where to put humour on your answers coz not all people can ride with this kind of styles especially when they are really hoping for serious answers or desperates. (though its hard to know how serious the person asking question is when it comes to letters..) though a good laugh is an immediate solution that can bring relax feelings to anyone.. "don't problem the problem.. let the problem problem you " as they say here
  • Oh please! Sometimes I wonder if everyone thinks my pathetic sense of humor is sadly desperate and my answers meaningless. In other words, I don't have a problem with you doing it if you don't have a problem with me doing it either, Savvy?
  • For folks to humor me is the best I could hope for.
  • I do as well. However, as I did tonight, elsewhere, there are times when I don't answer the question but just HAVE to make a remark.
  • what do you think?
  • When I am feeling a little down and run into one of the off the wall crazy answers, I can't help but to laugh out loud. Humor just makes AB that much better!
  • There is nothing wrong with having a lighter out look , and humor is a good thing -as long as it's not offense to others ,
