I filed bankruptcy in 1999. its 2007, 8 years later. Its still on my credit report, How can I get it off?

When were you discharged from bankruptcy?

The bankruptcy will stay on your credit for 10 years. After that, you may ask the credit reporting agencies in writing to remove it. The 10 year period runs from the date of discharge, not the date of filing.
